New Britain native, Charles Fort, and two local Black poets will read their work via Zoom. Black citizens and allies of People of Color will tune in to help celebrate Black History Month. Open mic follows featured readers!


Charles Fort – New Britain native, is a nationally-acclaimed poet of six books and ten chapbooks. His awards include the prestigious Randall Jarrell Prize. He is Professor Emeritus of the University of Nebraska.


Poet Nzima Sherylle Hutchings – runs the annual Hartford L.I.T. Festival, and her Literary Wellness company, Every Kinda Lady.


Dyamanee Monge is a poet and playwright in the Rockville High School Advanced Creative Writing program.
