Rescheduled from February
Focusing on the history of moose in Connecticut, Ginny Apple, a Master Wildlife Conservationist with CT DEEP, will discuss this mighty beast’s lifecycle and habitat, share photos and artifacts, and answer questions. Although moose sightings in the Nutmeg State are sporadic, they have been spotted since the early 1900s. In May 2021, there was a motorist’s advisory to be wary of the big beast as their calves disperse to seek out their habitat. Moose population in Connecticut is estimated to be 100 animals.
