 Area Attractions

The Friends of the Rockville Public  Library purchases passes to a number of museums in the area. The discounts off the original entry fees vary according to the individual museum's policy. Passes may be borrowed for two days and there is a $2 overdue fine for each day that the pass is late.  Due to the popularity of these passes, they may not be reserved. They may be borrowed on a first-come, first-served basis and are limited to one per family. A phone call may be made to the circulation desk to request that a pass be held at the desk for a period of no longer than 30 minutes allowing for the patron to get to the library.

American Clock and Watch Museum, Bristol--free admission for 2 adults and 3 children

Basketball Hall of Fame, Springfield, Mass.--reduced admission for up to 6 people ( with pass Adults $12.00/Children $8.00)

Beardsley Zoo, Bridgeport--free admission for 2 adults and 4 children

Connecticut Old State House-free admission for 2 adults and 2 children ( parking validated for $5.00)

Connecticut Science Center- Coupon for 20% off general admission for up to 4 people. Coupons expire 12/31/2011

Connecticut State Parks and Forest- waives the vehicle fees for one vehicle. ( Available 4/21-10/8) 

Connecticut Trolley Museum, East Windsor--free admission for 2 adults and 4 children, with restrictions  (seasonal)

Florence Griswold Museum, Old Lyme--free admission for 2 adults and 2 children

Harriet Beecher Stowe Center, Hartford--free admission for 2 people

Lutz Junior Museum, Manchester--free family admission

Mark Twain House, Hartford--free admission for 1 adult or 2 children with 1 paid adult admission ($14.00)

Mashantucket Pequot Museum, Ledyard--reduced admission for 2 adults and 2 children ( $5.00 off regular prices)

Mystic Marine Life Aquarium--reduced admission for 2 adults and 2 children ( Adults $22.00/Children $16.00)

New Britain Museum of American Art--free admission for 4 people 

New England Air Museum, Windsor Locks--reduced admission for 2 adults and free admission for 2 children ages 6-11 (younger children always free) ($2 adults at $5.00 per adult)

New England Carousel Museum, Bristol--free admission for 4 people

Norwalk Maritime Aquarium/IMAX Theater--reduced admission for 6 people ($2.00 off the Adventure Pass)

Roger Williams Park Zoo, Providence, R.I.--reduced admission for 4 people ($3.00 off for up to 4 People)

Children's Museum, West Hartford--1 free child with each paid adult ( $11.00)

Wadsworth Atheneum, Hartford--free admission for 2 adults and 2 children, with restrictions ( not valid during Festival of Trees)
